Hi guys,

There are about 500 users in a network within a company. Each group of user has different access right to a particular driver on the network.

Let's say there are 30 users have the write, modify and delete rights to the H: drive.

If someone creating, modifying and deleting a document (let's say a Microsoft Access Database). Would I be able to find who created or deleted the file by revealing the person's network username?

As long as you're running a domain, just right click on the file, go to the security tab, click advanced, then click on the owner tab. The owner is the one who created the file.

As far as seeing who deleted the file. You'll need to look into NTFS auditing. It will generate security log entries on the file server where the network share is located. You can specify many actions for it to log.
