For something like iSpy to work, the cameras would need to be connected to the router via the network switch, and everything has to be properly configured - ports forwarded, and all that. In this case the cameras would require internet access.

From what I've gathered so far, it seems that the OP is still trying to figure out how to use the switch and hasn't gotten around to setting up the cameras yet.

web cam looks good. But you'll have to hire a security guard instead to watch it. The other option would be cheaper?

A guard isn't practical for most small businesses; recording and storing the video offsite will usually suffice.
