um. well i have the feeling that thye might not have all their connection info entered. So you might want them to try and get all of that together.

also make sure that they aren't using a selected IP in the network config and that they are having windows assign an IP for the computer.

Hello Peter,

That is done thru the network connections right. With like the Static or DHCP or something like that. Been a long time since i have had network issues and have had to trouble shoot them. Mine has always worked for me.

haha. oh man, dhcp is a blast. and yeah i guess the thing to make sure of is that the modem is letting the connection in.
