How Do You Block Software Installation

i have windows xp pro. i want to block my son from installing rubbish from internet. i have set is account limited in control panel, but only problem is that he cant use any legacy programs. this means if tried to save a game he gets an error message. then i have to set his account back to admininstrator. then the whole process goes into circle. any suggestion would be great.

Don't let the bugger use the computer, period. If he tries, knock the snot out of him. After enough of this, he'll figure out to leave well enough alone and stop downloading crap.

If not, tell him to get a job and buy his own.

try this, right click my computer, click manage, click local users in left pane, double click users in right pane, right click his user account, click properties, click member of tab, remove all member groups, click add, click advanced, click find now, double click users, click ok, click ok again, user should show in member of group, logoff/logon his account, play game.
