how to control a computer using another comp

Does anybody knows how can i control another computer of mine by using my main comp through internet??i mean it is a far distance between this two of my comp.what i want to do is that i want to totally gain control of my second comp such as activating the softwares.
is it possible??

If you have windows xp pro on the computer you want to control, you can use remote desktop connection. If not, then you can use another remote connection program such as vnc.

Tight VNC is the best i have used, although a little blurry at times, but yes you can use this over the net.
