But i dont really wanna order online lol

Anyway i can get this from staples or circute city

you can get them at any electronics store that sells computers. Ie: radioshack, compusa, circuit city, best buy.

Your going to pay around $39-69 for a decent one.

I know what a switch is. It will not share and internet connection without a router.

It says in the description:
"How it works: It connects to your cable/DSL modem and communicates with your computers through wired Ethernet adapters via networking cable.."

Keyword= connects to your cable/dsl

it will connect to it, but it cannot share it single handedly. It needs a router.

Just buy a router and forget about the switch. You should be set after that.

so i see what you mean but cant i just like connect it using my modem? instead of using the wire from the modem to pc i put it to the switch where it says uplink or something?

To your internet connection with multiple computers you need to use this method. That cloud is going to be your modem.

Oh I see so that way wont wont using the switch :(

But see one of the reveiws saysed he has 2 computers and his ps2 online! at one time but i dunno

yes, when they wrote that review, they had 1 router that connected 1 length of cat 5 to the switch. From the switch they connected 2 computers and a ps2.

But no matter what. A router has to be involved in the whole process.

newegg.com is the best place to order online
im pretty sure 90% of the members here order there lol
