Help with a wired/ wireless network

I need help setting up a home network (workgroup), I conected everything but that's it. It is connected like this:

[Cox high speed internet]
\/ (wired)
[Cox modem]
\/ (wired)
[linksys wireless g router Model No. WRT54G]
\/ (wired)\/ (wireless)
[desktop][notebook]
\/ (wired)
[printer]

The desktop is running windows ME and the notebook is running XP pro, they are both running Norton Internet Security

Uninstall Norton Internet Security, sorry Norton fans but that program is garbage, causes more headaches than it is worth. IMHO

Are you sure it didn't answer your question? Did you uninstall Norton?
