Help with ports please...

Alright, I don't really know where I should post this, but I guess this forum could be the right place.

Well, I play a game called Warcraft III and I cannot seem to host games. It requires port 6112 to be open, however as far as I know it is, because I could host games a while ago, I dunno what happened but now, I can't.

You'll probably be thinking about a Firewall or a router, but I have none. No firewall, no router. No new software has been installed recently and as far as I know my ISP hasn't changed anything.

Do you have an idea what is causing this problem? Help would be very appreciated, thanks a lot!

8) if you stilll cannot host, goto www.grc.com click shields up (2 pages down) proceed, type 6112 into the box, and hit 'user specified custom port probe'

8a) this is a test you WANT to fail, passing this means you have firewall up somewhere.

software on a machinne cant give ascess to a port at all...

I wish I could help you more, but the people here have gave good suggestions and it's worth trying them
