Am I missing something here, I was looking over your hijack log a second time and I saw an entry for Verizon which I am assuming it's her ISP? Did Verizon give her any software to install, because you'll need to either use that software to log into her DSL account or you can put that into the IE browser?

Also this entry you should delete, itÂ’s obviously not Microsoft process and from search it came up as a Trojan horse. Can't believe I didnÂ’t see that.

O23 - Service: MicroSoft Media Tools - Unknown owner - C:\WINNT\MSmedia.exe (file missing)

And also you might want to give this software a try

Sounds like the vundo virus is taking it's toll. You can download vundofix.exe from http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/VundoFix.shtml and run it. It will find if there is the notorious vundo virus on the machine. It doesn't affect email, just internet. If the vundofix doesn't find anything, you may have to download the virtumundofix and run it. That one seems scary because once it's done it blue screens your computer, but once you reboot, you should be good as new.

it definatly isn't a physical problem with the DSL, otherwise email would be effected....

My .02 is that something on the computer is blocking port 80... Which is why internet isn't working... Trying pinging some different sites... Google.com, yahoo.com, etc. etc.
