HELP!! Networked Drives not responding over VPN

Hello,

I'm new to tech-forums, but hope someone can help me out. I have a laptop running Vista Business. I'm connecting this laptop to our HQ via VPN and the connection authenticates ok but when trying to access mapped drives, My Computer freezes up!

I've tried disabling the firewall, AVG antivirus software and it still stops responding when attempting a connection.

I have another laptop (same spec and identical VPN setup setttings etc.) which connects without any problems to the VPN network and networked drives!

It's becoming increasingly frustrating, so any of your help would be massively appreciated!

does it happen with any mapped drive or just mapped drives on this vpn?

delete vpn connection, fully update the os, download latest and greatest network drivers, uninstall network drivers, reinstall network drivers with the driver software you downloaded
