Help my network dissappeared!

I already set up a network a long time ago. I had norton internet security but the subscription ran out. I just resubscribed and then when i restarted my computer, my network was gone. I could not see my brother's computer on my computer. I connected both computers with a gateway from Verizon.

How can I fix this? i tried making a new network but it doesn't work. The network does not show up

Norton is doing this..........
You have to either configure norton somehow for networking or check norton completely and get a server....which is what i am trying to do now......

1 firewall.

1 antivirus server with the comp on my network being the antivirus clients.

Windows firewall automatically is configured to be windows network friendly.....

When your subscription was expired, norton didnt run
When your re-subscribed, norton reactivated.....

i put the other comp on my trusted list so i can see the other comp now. but the other computer cannot access my network; it's like a one way network. It says access denied on the other computer.
