help with my modem!

hello, I got a D-link DFE 530TX, and it work great now, but I want to conect it to the computer by an USB cable, and when I do the modem doesn't work.

I need to do this in order to connect the Network card to another computer, so I don't need to speend money in a hub.

but what should I do to do this? anybody cna help... or give me a web site where to read about it. thanks

What kind of modem is it, cable or dsl?
Can you post the make and model? Also, are you trying to connect the network cable and the USB cable to the modem at the same time?

reboot

depending on modem, it could need a reboot to get the USB mac of the pc. Also the pc might need USB Drivers.
