Having problems to connect to my connection

I am having problems to connect to my internet connection.

However I can connect to free internet connection from my school, or some unsecured connection near my house.

I have DIR-655 rounter (d-link)

Also..

Before I had static IP. I changed my computer to connect using static IP. Before, the first time, it was using Dynamic IP.

Now I am back to Dynamic IP. But it will not connect to my internet connection, from my internet provider I am using.

What is the problem?

Please further describe the problem......

Can you ping the router?
Can you log into the router's config page?
Is the router getting an IP address from the ISP?
