Hello,

I had set my Windows 2003 to be a file sharing server. After I had enabled a folder to be shared I messed around with the permissions. For some reason I cannot even access the file as an administrator now. the file is under the D:\ drive called Super
D:\Super. I have even tried the child inherits permissions from parents and it still says I do not have access. A format didnt even help because the OS is on C:. I cannot even delete the folder! Any help would be appreciated.

Try to take ownership of that share first, then you should be able to make changes at will.

Even if the share permissions were screwed up and the administrator/domain admin groups were removed from the permission set, you can 'take over' that directory and bend it to your will!!!

If all else fails, start the computer up in Command Prompt mode and delete the folder... or copy it's contents to another one that you create...
