Giving internet access to a folder on a pc

We have a pc behing a router, i can do the port fowarding. However what I want to do is give a person access to one folder on the pc from the internet.

Anyone have any solutions?

I haven't dabbled too much in it, but I believe you can use an FTP client to do this. In my sig, you see "The NAS Box"... it has a built in FTP server in the firmware, and when enabled, I can set it up so that I can make usernames/passwords and set permissions to certain folders. All I have to do is forward port 21 from my router to the NAS box.

I am not too sure how to set this up on a PC though... I will look into it this weekend.

There are ftp servers available for just about any platform. Do your own search to find something comfortable.

But you would configure it to allow ftp access to whatever folders and then [what E_D said] forward port 21 to the appropriate location.

Didnt think about using FTP, thats a good idea. Ive setup FTP before, run many a web server. Thanks
