anyone know where i could find a little gigabit switch (for home use) so i dont want to spend over $200, i need like 5-8 ports, for lan gaming, as most new mobos have gigabit nics

the problem with most of those linksys switches is that they are only gigabit on one port, they are 8 ports of 10/100 and 1 port of 10/100/1000, they say its for your backbone, for your servers

Yes, this is a typical configuration if your backbone server is running exchange, DNS, a FTP site, etc. If you want to get more than one 10/100/1000 port, you can still get an 8-port for around $150 or so. Trendware makes a couple of great models that have received good feedback. The models are:
TEG-S80TXD

TEG-S80TXE

Also, I would recommend a Cat6 layout and set your NIC to Full-Duplex, if it isn't already, instead of Auto.
