Getting bad signal

ok, at our house we a have a WRT54G router.i think the reason i get bad signal is becuase we have a chimney between the router and my computer.the other computers in my house get a fine signal.there is spots in the house were i can get a little bit better signal but not by much.do you think switching to a mimmo router or higher end model would help.

Aim the antenna towards the wall instead of the chimney. The wall isn't as thick as wood, so it gets a better chimney.

You can also buy some repeaters from Netgear, what they basically do is plug into your power outlet and amplifies your signal.
