FTP upload/download problem

Hi!

I have the following problem while uploading/downloading files to/from remote server /I am in Europe, the remote server in USA/: I can connect, I can start uploading/downloading the file but when it reaches around 80% of the job, the ftp client says "I/O Error" or "Connection Failed". If I say "resume", it starts uploading/downloading from the beginning and the same error occurs. If I say "cancel", the file stays uncompleted or disappears. Two times with the command "cancel" the file was actually there and completed. /on the server and on my comp/
I've tryed this on my mac os, 10.4.11 with several ftp clients: FileZilla, CyberDuck and ForkLift. And I've tried it on a PC, Windows XP with FileZilla - the same result.
My internet connection is via router - DLink , I have a fear speed, no problem with downloading torrent files from anywhere, and no problem with international life streaming.
I can post the CyberDuck error message:

I've contact my internet supplier and he assured me the problem is not on his side.
I am an amateur and I'm not sure where the problem is: software or the remote server .

Remote server. have you contacted them? DO you know of anyone that has successfully downloaded the file?

Yes! It happened just once. From the other part - they've managed to download the small file / 450MB/ I've uploaded. This file was the only one successfully uploaded. They've managed to download the bigger file as well / original size 1.15GB/, but it was not uploaded properly and they couldn't open it.

I've tried the same operation with iMac, Leopard and FileZilla. It gave me this error:

Sorry for the long post! I don't know what this means. Probably a server error?
