FTP server

Hi, I need to know how to set up an FTP server on my PC so I can send a file from another PC to my PC. The file is 700mb and it can not be emailed. I really need to know how to do this asap, it is important. Please dont suggest burning it to a CD and mailing it to me, that is out of the question, I need it now.

I have SmartFTP but I'm not sure if you can make an FTP server with it.

Or can you tell me a different way of getting the file?

There's probably a few easier ways.

1.)Do you know IRC? If so just DCC send it.
2.)If your ISP has free hosting service, use that.

Download and install. Make sure if you have a firewall, to open the port(s) you'll be using.

I wonder what the maximum file size you can send via yahoo messenger? I have sent some really big files that way.

Well I just thought about something else. I will use P2P (frostwire). Will that work?

Yes it will. A lot of them have Direct Connect, so you just have it the computer with said file running Frostwire and then just DC to it's IP.

Another route would be if they're networked, but if they were networked together you would probably have already tried that.
