Ftp Help

i have been trying to set up a proper ftp server for about a year now, but always found myself behind firewalls (at school). now that im free of those firewalls i can still not get my ftp to be accessable to anyone outside of my home network. I have already set up the ftp server on my mcafee firewall, aswell as through my windows network connections, and also through my router. I am using Titan FTP server v.3.1, windows xp pro sp2, mcafee firewall/virusscan 2006, and am connected through cable broadband. WHAT AM I MISSING?! thanks in advance.

Are they atleast getting prompted for a username and password ???

yea, they get the user/pass.. but cant connect

Have you created an account for them ?
Are you running on passive FTP ?

What kind of Router are you using ?

that could be my prob... i dont really know much about setting up an ftp server. the account and active/passive ftp stuff, i have set up user accounts in titan, but thats about it... ?
