Hi

I have a wireless networking running in my house and i can receive the internet on both computers but the signal strength is saying that it is low and has a speed of 24Mbps.i also have a problem with file sharing because computer1 can see computer2 files but computer2 can't see computer1 files. they both have file sharing enabled and they don't have a firewall on because there is 1 in the belkin router

Please can some1 help me

Thanks:)

What you want to do is check your router configuration. Change the channel/frequency, change the data rate, mode, and turn off any feature that is unnecessary security wise. Make sure you put good security on it also, because you donÂ’t want people leeching off your Internet slowing it down even further.

Check to see if both the computers can ping each other.
Open up command prompt
Type ping IP address of the other computer
Example ping 192.168.1.100
If good proceed to ping the name of the computer
Example ping JessComputer

This will help verify communication between both computer works and that NetBIOS is doing name to IP resolution properly.

Thanks for your help LAW:) i will get back to you when i hav tired this because i have had to send my processor off to be repaired:)
