Sometime soon when I have the money, I intend to overhaul my computer's sercurity. I am intending to ditch Norton entirely and go with seperate firewaal and ntivirus solutions. I have read that Pc-cillin is a great anti-virus program, so that covers my virus component. I have not heard as much about a firewall, though. I am lloking for a professional or near professional level program with, at the minium, the following features:
All standard firewall features (port masking, attack detection, ect)
Program control (limit local program's acsess to network)
Small and slim (does not affect performance)

Any suggestions?

Yes, I do have a hardware firewall. It actually odes fairly well on the sheilds up test. But, ZoneAlarm confilcts with it for some reason, plus I have heard it casue innumerable problems. I know it can be very good, but I don;t want to deal with something known to have issues. Also, while a router is an excellent and neseccary first defense, I want my computer to be a stand alone fortress as well. What firewalls other than ZA are generally reviewed highly?

Well their's the sygate personal firewall and Blackice

Personally behind a good hardware firewall (linksys befrsr41, Cisco 831 ect) I have never had a problem
