I AM A STUPID IDIOT. When I plug in the ethernet cable from my laptop to the wifi extender or modem, I have internet (blazing fast might I add, I'm so used to wifi speeds)!!!!! I just didn't know because I didn't see wifi bars (I'm so freaking dumb)! Thank you so much for the excellent help, I really appreciate the time you took to help me
