I have just set up a network in my home. PC 1 has a DSL connection running Windows XP. I purchased a Netgear router and cable to connect PC 2, which runs Vista. The setup disk kept saying it could not connect to the internet- ignoring this and checking a web browser showed that I was connected on both PC's just fine. We exited out of the setup disk for the router.
Now, I have no idea if any of that matters or not or if the issue I have is related.
I cannot access many websites. I get the eternal spinning fox tail, and no error messages. I cleared caches, cookies, ran the diagnostic tools, virus scanners, etc. This is happening for both PC's. For example- Yahoo never fully loads, Paypal won't load at all, some store websites won't load, or if they do it's without any pictures. I am also unable to download anything.
Is this internet problem related in anyway to the router setup? Or is there anything else I can try?
Thank you.
