I have a desktop PC running XP connected by hard wire to a Netgear wgt624 router and then to an erricson cable modem, after a period of inactivity usually 6hrs or more I cannot launch my browser. The computer indicates that no connection is available. If I reboot the PC ( not the modem or router )everything is fine again. Yesterday I was downloading a torrent and encountered this problem, however the lights on the modem were flashing indicating activity and the stats on the torrent indicated it was connected but my browser wouldn't launch until I rebooted. This is a new problem and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to the cause or solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
