The dotWORLDS email is Spam-Free. It cannot be spammed by bulk unsolicited commercial mail. This is one of our main marketing points. dotWORLDS email is not just fun, interesting and memorable addresses, it also spam free and safe for kids.

There is information on how to use dotWORLDS email on the website:

a) http://www1.dotworlds.net/intermed.php

b) http://email2.dotworlds.net/src/intermed_mail.php

When you register a domain, it can take up to 12 hours for the email account to get set up - so you will not be able to log in immediately. This means you may have to wait a few hours before you can log into your email account. (if you remember, it is the same for the forwarding system, if you forward a domain name in the dotWORLDS
Control Panel eg www.hello.cool to www.google.com, that also can take up to 12 hours to get set up)

If you have a dotWORLDS email address (eg alex@hello.cool) then you can do the following

1) You can send and receive to all other dotWORLDS email addresses (eg
alex@hello.cool can send and receive to melanie@hatfield.student)
2) You can send to the outside (This means you can send to all the normal .coms and .nets etc. For example newdomains2005@yahoo.com)
3) The outside cannot send to dotWORLDS email - users need to join the
system and get a dotWORLDS email address of their own to write to
back.......BUT there is a safety feature. For example......If you
first
send a dotWORLDS email to your a friend who has a normal .com or .net
address, and your friend receiving the dotWORLDS email hits the reply
button
and writes an email back, your friend will get an email by return (from
dotWORLDS Mailguard) to say he must get a dotWORLDS email to write
back
4) However, if a bulk mailing company tries to send emails to any
dotWORLDS
email addresses - EVEN if they know the correct addresses, it will
never arrive. In other words - if you have a normal .com or .net address
etc
and you take a "new email" (a blank email template) and then try to
send to
alex@hello.cool it will never arrive.

Other functions of dotWORLDS email

When you first register a domain name and you want to use it for email, the default log-in on the webmail page (webmail login page =
http://email.dotworlds.net) will be "admin@". So for example. if you
register the domain "hello.cool", when you first log into your mail account,
you must log in as admin@hello.cool (and you use the same password as your registered when taking hello.cool)

Once you have logged in to your email account, you can create unlimited
aliases and accounts.

The difference between aliases and account is:

(1) Aliases are like sending email from the same email mailbox but under different names. So for example Not only can you send as
admin@hello.cool, but you can also send as fred@hello.cool or susy@hello.cool . The important point here is that whenever someone writes back to you, it will come back into the SAME mailbox.

(2) Accounts are a little different - Whilst with Accounts also you can also write using different names like john@hello.cool or
sally@hello.cool
..the DIFFERENCE here is that you have a SEPARATE email box for each
account
(so that each account is private and also has its own password to
access)

(3) Remember that the "admin@" account is the master account. This means that because the "admin@" account is effectively the owner of the domain name, only the "admin@" account can create new accounts and new aliases

So using the example above. if you took the domain name "hello.cool"
you
(as the owner of the domain) could do the following

1) Your main account is admin@hello.cool and you have your original
password.

you could create an alias for your own account john@hello.cool . This
means
that you could send mail from the "admin@" account either using the
address
admin@hello.cool OR the address ohn@hello.cool and in this case ALL
mail
coming back would arrive in that same admin@ account

THEN YOU COULD CREATE AN ACCOUNT:

2) You could also create separate accounts for your friends (this is
NOT an
ALIAS)

For example you could create the account, janet@hello.cool AND You can
give
the account janethello.cool a different password.

Now all mail sent to janet@hello.cool will go into a separate account
and
Janet can only see her own mail - ie she CANNOT see your mail when she
logs
on to her account
