Do I configure port forwarding on my DSL modem or wireless router?

I have a Westell DSL modem/router feeding my Linksys wireless router. I am trying to configure port forwarding/triggering for bit torrent.

Do I need to configure port forwarding or triggering? I currently only have 1 machine, but in the near future I will add a desktop

Do I need to configure the port forwarding on the DSL modem or the Linksys?

You need to configure port forwarding and it's done on the Linksys.

I would try to use port triggering instead as your port is only open when you need it, and it would be done on the linksys
