Ok well i was advised to contact a PC support person about a problem i have been having.

My domain http://www.xbstorm.com does not work sometimes but http://xbstorm.com always does. This is only a problem with me, everyone else can access it normally. It is not a problem with the host so the problem is at my end.

I was wondering how to go about sorting out this problem as it's something to do with my computer that is stopping me from being able to go to http://www.xbstorm.com most of the time.

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Wed, 23 Aug 2006 23:06:10 GMT
Server: Apache/1.3.34 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.4.1 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.25 OpenSSL/0.9.7a
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.4.1
Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=100
Connection: Keep-Alive
Transfer-Encoding: chunked
Content-Type: text/html

1. Tell your host to upgrade php already, php 4.4.1 is almost a year old release.
2. They also should upgrade from apache 1.3.34 to 1.3.37, there are a number of security flaws in that release, not that I could exploit them, or would, but it's very possible to do so.

Other than that, I have no idea why you can't use the www.* sub

The host upgrading the php and apache wont sort my problem, as the problem lyes within my computer, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

I dont have an internal dns server running i dont think. How do i check my host file.. and what do i check for?
