Ocassionally when I install some software and restart the omputer, my network connection properties will disappear. When I go into Control Panel and Network Connections, the page will be totally blank. I can still connect to wired and wireless networks fine but I just can't open the properties. It only happens ocassionally and only after I install some software. There doesn't seem to be a pattern that I can see. The only way to fix it is to do a system restore to a point when I did have my newtoek connections. Does anyone have any idea what going on?

When I ran Windows Update, it caused the connections to disappear so I had to restore it.

can i ask you what type of windows os are you running and/ or what software is doing that?

I'm running Windows XP Home SP1. As for the software thats causes it, it seems to be random and unfortunately, I can't remember the last thing I intslled that caused it. I'll post again as soon as it happens again.
