What is the best way to send an email that is not easy to trace? i'm curious about this because I've got broadband and i'm sure with this the IP address is dynamic. But if someone was on dial up and sent me an abusive email, how easy would it be to find out who it was?

send an email to a person you know and don't want it trace?

unless you plan to spam/scam someone

Not easy at all. You'd need to do some serious work to trace someone without being in the government or some extremly high level computer job. But for the most part tracing is hard and what needs to be done to trace the person is ILLEGAL (in most cases!)

read my post carefully again.

you're asking me why i'm sending an email to someone i know and don't want it to be linked back to me. That isnt what I said. I said in my post someone sent me an abusive email, and I want to find out who it is, or at least get a good idea of where it came from.
