Decent wireless signal but keep getting dropped

I'm using the wireless g linksys adapter with SRX and trying to connect to my netgear router. I connect fine and have 1 bar sometimes 2 (out of 3) and my connection is 1.5mb when I test it. Every 4 or 5 minutes give or take a few ill get dropped and d/c from the internet for a minute or two while it try's to get the signal back and reconnect. Now, if my signal is fine and when i'm connected it's an awesome connection, why am I getting dropped so often? any idea's?

you can change a wireless adaper and try it.

Basic Fix:

1. First update windows and update your wireless adapter driver from the linksys website

2. Make sure your wireless is near the box when you try this; goto network settings and view all the wireless networks listed, if there are more than one than make sure the wireless connection you are connection to is set to your main wireless connection.

This should work ...
