I bought this starter kit at bestbuy on black fri cuz it was on such a great deal.
The kit includes a router (DI-5240) and and wireless usb adapter(DWL-G122)
The problem is i can't get it to work wirelessly, wired works fine. Windows keeps telling me that the router is out of range but i was only 20feet away. There're no walls between the signal and i can't move the adapter any closer cuz it's on a desktop. Tried every, turning off security, changing the channels, uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers for the USB adapter before putting the adapter in, etc. D-link doesn't have their own software for the USB Adapte just he drivers, so to me that's a minus.
Called tech support and they weren't very helpfull, told me to return the **** thing cuz they couldn't think of a solution. I think it could be that the USB adapter or router is crappy. But any help will be appriciated.
