connecting my smartphone to my pc

These are a Samsung gt-s5560 and a HP Pavillion (Windows 7 ,64 bit) respectively.

Both can connect to my Linksys Router without a problem but ,as a result of Samsung not updating its driver for the smartphone to Win 7 (64 bit) I cannot connect the 2 via usb .

Can I get around this by connecting wirelessly ,using my Router?
Alternatively have I got to look at uploading my smartphone files to the internet? (would that be normal on a smartphone or would it be tricky?)

thanks for the suggestion but actually I haven't tried that no. But To tell the truth I am so ****ed off with it all that I probably won't try that immediately.
I am annoyed that Samsung ,which is hardly a small company has not bothered to fix this problem.
I ended up trying to download a third part driver a week back and ended up with the Anti Virus broken.
So I am looking to set up the email acount on my phone at the moment which should solve the problem as I don't have a lot of photos I need to transfer in the normal course of things.

Welcome to my issue too...... I got a Palm treo 650, and it only works on 32bit software.
