Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to connect to a computer on a different router. I have drawn a diagram of how my network is set up.

Network.png

PC 2 can connect to PC 1 with no problem by typing //192.168.1.11/. But how can PC 1 connect to PC 2? I know that simply typing in the ip address of PC 2 wont work because of the NAT. What other method will work?

Thanks

IF PC2 can connect to PC1, then the reverse should be true. The path is there - its more than likely a setting on the computer itself. What OS is running on PC1 and PC2?

NAT has nothing to do with internal communication, network address translation would be used by a router to use one public IP address to communicate with multiple private IP addresses behind the router. If you have a modem your ISP is using NAT externally - so everything in your network probably have the same public IP. NAT is the the issue here.
