Ok I have an hp laptop. Im positive it's connected to the Internet but pages won't load.. It says connected and when I diagnose problems it says there are none found.
Things I've tried
-restored internet settings
-made sure work offline isn't checked
-did a system restore
-used Ethernet cable and wireless connections
-tried winsock fix in cmd prompt
-turned firewall off
-used IE and firefox
-tried many websites

None worked. The Internet immediately says cannot load page. Ideas?

Can you ping any websites from the command prompt? Just because you are connected to your router doesn't mean you are connected to the internet.

Yes I can. It installed updates just now.. Just Internet pages won't load. In any browser.

Run a full updated scan with malwarebytes in safemode. Also run a full updated scan with your virus protection.

Check your proxy settings:

Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections Tab > LAN Settings button on the bottom > see if "Use a Proxy Server for your LAN..." is checked. If so, uncheck it, and reboot your computer.

After that, make sure to do a scan of your computer for malware. Use our guide: Spyware Asylum
