My PC will only stay connected ot the network for a maximum of 10 minutes. Then it drops. The pc still says it is connected to the router, but there is no conectivity with my network or with the internet. If I try to disable the LAN in the network connections, the window locks up. If I try to disable the network card in the device manager, that window locks up.

I know it's not the router, because my two laptops(one wireless one wired) are both fine.

The NIC is integrated on my P5B-E mobo.

Forgot to mention, when I try to reboot the pc, it hangs. Stops on the "Windows is shutting down..." message, and never shuts down. I have to do it the hardway. B ut when it boots back up the connection works... for 5-10 minutes...

Can you install a separate NIC and disable the onboard one, just to rule that out? That would be my guess, that the NIC is going bad.

Did you check the event viewer for info?

Using the NetShell utility. Run this from the command line then reboot.

netsh int ip reset c:\tcpiprebuild.log

See if this corrects it.
