comcast -Linksys wireless router firmware

I just recieved a wireless router/cable modem/gateway all in one from comcast. I logged into the router from my web browser and the comcast firmware doesn't even have half of the features that come on the defualt linksys firmware. I was wandering if i could just flash it with the linksys firmware? it has a model number of WAC200-cc.

p.s.- this interface is so crappie i cant even disable SSID broadcst!

doubt it. they have it done that way so you can tamper with it. read the end user agreement that would have come in the package it will tell you if you are or are not allowed to do that.

Well if it is a genuine Linksys router then yes there will be no problem upgrading the firmware. You must bear in mind, however, that if it goes wrong and breaks it then Comcast aren't gonna be too happy with you if you ask for a replacement.
