Hi,
We have recenntly installed a nortel technology network. core Passport8600, router Cisco 2511, Firewall 5111(Nortel), IDS/IPS 2150. All the remote computers are connected to edge swtiches nortel 425. Further they are connetcted to PCs with Win XP OS. We most of the time suffer from overbroadcast of IPs from some computers which finally chokes the computer. I am seeking help for how to prevent this over broadcast and from which device. please answer.
I also want to know some analysing tool which can tell me which are the nodes using net at the moment. I use AngryIP Scanner which tells total nos of connected nodes although they may not be browsing net.
