I have a public network with 100+ users. This makes the Centurylink provided Zyxel 660R and 600HW freeze and lock up. I would like to put in a third party DSL modem in its place, but I am reading crappy reviews about a lot of them. If anyone else has suggestions about a modem that doesn't lock up and can handle this traffic that would be awesome. 10M download. Yep thats all that is offered in this area. Weird thing is we also have an SMC cable modem on our second WiFi and that never locks up. However we need both since our network always needs to be up. Thanks

First off, I have to say that if you have 100+ users in a network on this system, then you should NOT be on DSL. You need to either be on a business class cable or a T-1 connection.

With that many users, a DSL is way to slow and most of the phone company, either direct or third party, modems are not able to handle that many users.

Look into go one of the other ways.
