cant see users on netowrk

ok so i cant see any users on my network and when i attempt to go into the workgroup i get an error that i do not have permission from the administrator. I have a USB54G wireless USB adapter for the computer that im trying to see users with and the router is a WRT54G router Both are from linksys all systems are windows xp home and the firewalls are turna ed off. All systems are updated.

You should be able to go to My Network Places and see any systems that have sharing turned on. If they are not sharing any info then your might not see them. Also your really wouldn't be seeing other users you would be seeing other hosts.

You need to give a bit more information, it could be hundreds of problems.
What does it say when you go start->run->type "cmd"-> type in the comand box "ipconfig/all"
Do you have this problem on all computers on your network?
Have you recently re-formated your computer?
Can you share internet (if you have a shared internet connection)?

Can you ping any of the users either by name or by IP
