Can't get rid of my history :( :(

OK. Calm down. Let's take this one step at a time.

First off, the tracks eraser in MS AntiSpyware doesn't work.

In IE, click Tools, Internet Options. Click Delete Cookies, OK. Click Delete Files, check Delete all offline content, OK. Click Clear History, Yes.

Open up C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\.jpi_cache. Open and delete the contents of both the file folder and the jar folder. Delete the contents of the java folder.

Open up C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings (this is a hidden folder, click Tools, Folder Options, View, click the button for Show hidden files and folders, OK). Open the Tempoary Internet Files folder. It should be empty, but if it's not, delete the contents. Open the History folder. It should be empty, but if it's not, delete the contents.

Start Windows Media Player. Clear the playlist. Click Tools, Options, Privacy, Clear History, Clear Caches, OK.

Be sure you open up the control panel on your firewall and delete any entries that you don't want to be seen.

Lastly, stay away from stuff that you wouldn't want your girlfriend to know about.

go in and get rid of it by hand. Sometimes it locks if you have alot of pics and html cached. so get rid of it by chunks. I suggest that you get Firefox. You can look at all of the porn you want without worrying about spyware, also you can configure it to not save any history, cookies, or cache.

how do you make firefox disable history?

Go into tools>options> privacy> set history to 0 days> uncheck saved form info> uncheck saved passwords> set remove downloads when firefox exits> allow sites to set cookies until you close firefox> 0KB of cache.

Also go to web features and check Block Popup windows, uncheck allow websites to install software, and check java and javascript. but make sure that you have a realtime virus scanner to pick up those nasty javascript viruses.

That my freind if called the instructions to a properly configured Firefox browser. No more worries about spyware!
