my port 80 is open.people can connect to my ip but inly on the game.they can not see my web and i can only see it when i got to 127.0.0.1 .if i put my global ip in the address bar i get my modem interface page.i need to no how to change it where that is not what the global ip links to

There is no way that you can view things through your global IP, everyone else can, you cannot, you need to type into the adress bar http://127.0.0.1:80, and that will give you what your PC is putting out on port 80, if you are at a remote machine, type http://*machinename*:80 and that will give you what you are putting out on port 80 via that machine.

the reason you get your router homepage is because when you type your Global IP, is becuase you are basically telling the router to go back to itself, which is exactly the same as typing your routers local IP. Use 127.0.0.1 to view what it is putting out! If you need any more help you can also add me on msn: ruan.ellis@vicjuellis.f2s.com . Hope this helps

by remote machine, I hope you mean a machine on the same network. If you do this outside of your network, it will not work.

Also, make sure that port 80 is open in any firewall software you are using including Windows firewall.

Yeah, that is what i meant, sorry! Local names will only work internally, I meant to say that a remote machine on the same network can be found with that method!

you guys are completely ignoring my response, I know he is trying to make a site, but he did say something about people being able to connect through a game, which as I said has nothing to do with port 80. I went through the same exact problem, and the answer for me was my ISP blocks port 80.
