Can you run CAT5 Ethernet Cables outside?

If it were real important I would get insulated cable and run it in conduit.

I have done that for companies.

For personal short runs it should be fine. Conduit would still be nice.

Cheap pvc or abs plumbing stuff would keep things safe.

How far are you wanting to run the cables. You might be better off buying a Cantenna from Saxon.

I think the maximum distance you can run with a cable is 100 meters? After that you'd need a repeater or something. I'm not really much on networks, but I know theres a limit.

^ In the context of what you are talking about, you are correct with 100 meters or less.

Wouldnt mind them Cantennas but my Belkin poopy 54g has an antenna that cant be removed its locked on, plus ive been having connection problems with it also :/ Loool
