i've having a problem with my comp (WinXP). internet access (cox cable modem) will not work when i have my network enabled (IE it only works when i go into network connections and disable the appropriate network card). this is becoming very frustrating, and is eating all my free time! please offer any advice if you can.

You should plug the Ethernet cable from your cable modem into the WAN port on your router, then run cables from your LAN ports on the router (i.e. 1,2,3,4) to each of the computers on your network. There will be a little bit of router configuration, but that should be pretty easy... I'm sure the CD that came with the router has some sort of quick-setup Wizard.
