Well, im annoyed with the school and them blockin all the cool sites, any ways to beat them at their own game?

I know how you feel, I've tried changing proxies but it won't even let you connect to the internet if you don't use the one they give you.

Unless the school set a rule on the firewall that says only the proxy server is allowed to the internet, you can go into the Internet properties and unselect AutoMatically detect settings. If you cant get on the internet, its because they set a rule on the firewall/router.

You don't want do even try messing with school networks. These days the typical punishment is being suspended, or for a large infraction expulsion.

Just deal with it at school and surf whatever you want at home.

Well, as a temporary fix, you can use web proxies such as The Cloak or Proxify.

If you can get access to these websites, all you have to do is type the website address that you want to view and away you go. It does all the work for you and returns the website to you without telling your firewalls what website you're looking at.

You can try to go in the back door.
If not all websites are blocked, try to make your own web page and post it in one of the free host services.
in this page make a type of form that you can input a URL and it opens it up in a different frame on the same page.

Could work...

Good Luck

Okay I am a bit too experinced in this field. In off topic I made a thread of what happened to me, wasnt pretty and is now causing me to have to take extra time in school.

#1: Browser.p3p.us is really simple

#2: Download alternative software such as firefox, that will let you proxy.

#3: Change IE to a different proxy server. 10$ says it's locked and this wont work. This leads to having to do system changes.

But I recomend you visit the cool websites at home. Their's no need to do that at school. Get some work done.

I use www.logmein.com it allows you to control your home computer from school...it works great.

Just install the software on your home computer...leave your computer on when you go to school and then go to www.logmein.com and log in...
you can then surf the internet through your home comp and so the school cant block or track what youve been surfing.

Thats aslong as they arent blocking www.logmein.com in the first place.

Depends on the network setup. At my school, we had a proxy server and a squid server. All I did was redirect the proxy to route through the squid instead. That way it didn't block anything, and still gave me the same speed for browsing. Had to edit some registry settings to change the proxy though, and I did get in trouble for that. Got a week suspension of all "electronic devices". Yeah that sucked, but I guess I didn't learn my lesson because the next week I still bypassed the proxy despite the new security features my computer teacher installed.

Despite what I did, I would recommend that you don't break any school rules, and this is probably one. You'll regret not working hard in school, I know I do.
