Here is the situation:
At home, I can play BF2 perfectly, with no issues.
On a LAN without an internet connection, I cannot launch the program at all. It hangs after resizing my resolution several times (which it does normally), and will simply sit there.
If I unplug myself from the network, it works fine. If I am the only one on the network, it does NOT work. It does NOT work woth other computers on the network. It does work if I have Norton Block ALL internet traffic. All other people on the LAN can play it fine.
Things I have tried:
Reinstalling BF2
Copying a working BF2 directory from another computer
Tried to prevent BF2 from establishing connections to myself (but allowing them for the rest of the network)
Also, I have to reboot into safe mode in order to complete the unistall of BF2, as it will not permit me to delete the directory (it is NOT read only)
Any ideas?
