For using broadband internet and home networking Is winXP pro better or win2000 server better ?? what do you suggest guys?

you have no use for a server OS. winXP pro is a much better choice for you. you can still use winxp on a network as a client and use IIS as an http server. you can get bulletFTP to run FTP. winXP is much better for games and is about as stable as win2000

Yea, XP... but if you want an FTP, I'd use GuildFTPd instead of BulletFTP.. It's easier, and its also free... and for http I use Apache.
