Best Router to buy

I use a Linksys 2.4ghz wireless-b and it's been great especially through many solid floors and walls.

An employee at a Office Max told me once the Order of quality all around per say was Linksys, Dlink, Netgear.

Linksys WRT54GL with Tomato firmware works pretty well.

General use grab a linsys/d-link/netgear

I would like a Linksys, my wife says more than she wants to pay. She wants a Netgear mostly cause its cheaper. We'll see who wins

Heh, as you can see, quite a range of opinions here. Adding to the mix is my opinion of my suggestion with going with Linksys. D-Link I've had fail on me too many times. I even had Motorola routers that also failed. But the Linksys I have now has doubled the life of all of the other routers I've had combined.

EDIT - I should however be fair and tack in that I haven't used D-Link in about 5 years, so their quality since I've used them may be significantly different as others here have suggested. I just haven't had the need since my Linksys has worked flawlessly since I got it. *knee slapper*
