I bought my dad a Belkin wireless router for Christmas. Now I have the problem of setting it up.
It has 4 LAN ports, and a built in ADSL modem. The model number is F5D7630-4A.
I want to connect the router to the main pc via wired LAN as the pc already has a NIC installed. Then I want to connect the laptop (Which has a built in wireless g network card), to the network and be able to use the internet through the router.
The problem is one of settings. On the router configuration page it asks me my connection type. The options are:

PPPoE
PPPoA
Disable Internet Sharing
Multiple protocol over ATM.

I have no idea which of these to choose, or what my settings should be. My ISP is BTinternet. I tried PPPoE, as that's what I thought it should be, but then it asks me for VPI/VCI settings. I have no idea what these are, let alone what I should set them at. At the minute I can't even get the main pc to access the internet through the router, and I can't find out what my settings should be.
Does anyone know what my settings should be???
Do I still need to install the BTinternet software on the pc???
Any help is very much appreciated, because I am starting to tear my hair out here!!!

Not to be a **** or anything but did you think about reading the intall book that came with the router? You will not need the bt internet software. Just get your little BTinternet book and put that into the PPOE settings on the router then look for the status page and hit connect then check the logs on what it does. It will tell you whats happening and what it needs. once it is connected the the net conncet the pc over CAT5 and it should be off to the races. Then with the setup of the wireless referr to the installation book again or the CD. Just remember people want you to use these things. There gunna tell you how to set this stuff up.
