So I've just completed my first build and everything is great except the internet connection.
I'm using a Tenda Wireless-N300 PCI Adapter (Do I need a better one?) and download rates are usually around 50-150KB/s, and the signal strength is "fair". However once it actually went up 500 KB/s but has not been that high continously. My router is only a couple of rooms away, so I thought it would get a better signal. The computer wired to the router has excellent connection.
I don't know if this will affect it but it doesn't seem to fit properly. The card's golden edge is fitted in the PCI slot, but I couldn't actually screw it in the bracket.
Thanks in advance, any advice is appreciated. I'm running Windows 7.
